Around 20% (vs. 40% 25 years ago) of the campus budget comes from the State of Illinois. As another example of how we are now state assisted rather than state supported, in 1980, the University received $7 for every $1 of tuition that we took in. Today, that number is $0.75 for every $1 of tuition raised. Private support is a critical element in helping the department bridge this funding gap.

As a General Engineering and/or Industrial Engineering alum you are an essential part of our heritage, and integral part of the life of the department tomorrow and beyond. With more than 5300 alumni, IESE graduates live and work all over the world.

With more than 5300 alumni around the world, IESE alums boast successful careers in consulting, law, research and development, engineering administration, and academia. Thirty percent of General Engineering Alumni are members of the Illinois Alumni Association. Members of the University Alumni Association are automatically granted membership to the IESE Alumni Association.

The IESE Alumni Association is directed by the Alumni and Industrial Advisory Board.
